Mechelle is a native of Oakland specializing in jazz and blues. She is the artistic founder and director of the Black Jazz Ensemble Theatre Performances. Performing since age 10, her voice is one that reaches deep into the listener.

The Real Jazz Quartet is based in San Francisco, and features the music of Coltrane, Miles Davis, Monk, Wayne Shorter, Duke Ellington and a Latin Jazz twist with compositions by Chick Corea, Hermeto Pascoal as well as Original Jazz. The Quartet is exited to be performing in San Francisco as well as throughout the Bay Area, and has its sights set on Recording, Touring, and appearances at Jazz Festivals.
